The Learning Tree is a full-time year-round childcare program. We pride ourselves in partnering with parents in helping each child become a well-rounded individual spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically and academically. It is far more than a “daycare center.” Since 1973 we have provided quality daycare, preschool and kindergarten to families in Winter Park and surrounding areas.

We are a state certified facility (license # C070R0154) and use a variety of age-specific curriculum to achieve these goals, even with infants. The facilities are modern and the staff is professional.

We have found a balance of curriculum from “Wee Learn,” “Hand Writing Without Tears” and ABeka to be best in helping children in the growing and learning process. Our staff is always evaluating trends and curriculum from a variety of sources.

The Learning Tree is first and foremost a Christian school. Chapel services that are age-specific are important parts of our week. We also find field trips (3’s and up) and other special events (especially seasonal events) make the total experience even better. We have an open-door policy and we value parent’s participation in the classroom.

Full Time Day Care

Full time Day Care is provided Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This is our most popular program. The day is filled with a wide variety of learning experiences both inside and outside on our modern playground. We use a variety of learning styles using all the senses: touch, taste, sight, sound and smell. Our low teacher/child ratio assures each child is cared for as an individual in a safe, stimulating environment. In addition, we want to know your family, as well, and recognize this is an important part of the whole Learning Tree experience. You, the parent, are kept up to speed on what has happened each day. We are very proud of this superior program.

Preschool

Preschool only is offered 9:00 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. This works well for moms who work part-time. Pick-up may be scheduled as late as 2:00 p.m. for three and four year old children.

Summer Camp

Summer Camp is offered to children who have completed kindergarten through completing third grade. This is a very popular eleven-week program offered throughout the summer from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This program fills up fast so make your reservations early.
